Darling’s Method is best suited for those that seek to invest the proper time and attention to achieve results you simply won’t find anywhere in town

Hair is a living organism. And because individuals each possess unique chemical makeup, each head of hair responds differently to the application and color processing time. Darling will carefully study the effects of your coloring, and slowly combine her knowledge of the science with her keen eye for style until the perfect result is achieved.

The Color Consultation

The color consultation is $50 and takes about 15-20 minutes. Darling will carefully explore lifestyle, personality, daily styling routing, bone structure, skin tone, and eye-color and before crafting a style that will most accurately reflect your individuality. The $50 consult fee will be applied towards the final ticket of that day’s service.

At the Atelier:

Depending on services required to achieve your desired look, we will be sometimes spend 3 to 5 hours working on your hair. Come in comfortable clothes, relax and enjoy the moment! Have work to do? Grab your laptop — we have wifi! Otherwise, bring your book, iPad, or favorite magazine–or enjoy our in-house selection. We will also provide complimentary snacks and beverages.

Pricing & Cancellations

It’s not so fun when you don’t show up! DMHC reserves the right to charge 50% of services canceled less than 48 hrs before the reservation and 100% for NO SHOWS. Prices are quoted individually based on hair length, density, and porosity. A valid credit card is required to hold your appointment.

HOW DID IT ALL BEGIN?

Darling’s unique experience has afforded her specific techniques and skills that are unmatched by local salons, let alone in the U.S. While working as an independent stylist in Newburyport, Darling visited local salons to gain a first-hand experience of the quality of work and the stylists’ degree of passion. Coupled with resounding feedback from local women who were largely unsatisfied with their experience and cut/color, she saw an opportunity to revolutionize the hair industry in Newburyport by opening her own salon.

Darling visualized a modern salon with a friendly, receptive vibe to make her clients feel immediately comfortable. Her approach is different than many; during each new clients’ 20 minute consultation, she will carefully explore lifestyle, personality, daily styling routing, bone structure, skin tone, and eye-color and before crafting a style that will most accurately reflect an individual.
